Dear SCS School Families,
This week I am reminded of our need for community and fellowship. We are closing our weeklong celebration of our fabulous teachers (Teacher Appreciation Week). It is awe-inspiring to see all the work and sacrifice our teachers and staff have been shown. There are two beautiful sides to this “one coin” – reminding the teachers and staff that they are noticed and appreciated but also seeing the graces that come from showing others acts of mercy and kindness. Often when we are in need of help we find it difficult to ask for and accept the assistance we need. Most of us are quick to brush off compliments or offers of help in some way and will do anything in our power to avoid asking for help ourselves. However, it is important to remember that when others lend a helping hand or lift us up in prayer, there are numerous graces and blessings for the selfless gift of assistance shared with us. It is heartwarming to witness the genuine gratitude and joy displayed by the teachers and staff this week. But, it is just as heartwarming to see our school families come together so brilliantly to make this week special for the teachers and staff.
Thank you, each of you, for your generosity and time. We could not do what we do without YOU! To the teachers and staff of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School – thank you for your commitment to Catholic education; thank you for working so hard to help shape and form the young minds in your care, both academically and spiritually. To the parents, grandparents, volunteers, and parish families who jump in, often with just a moment's notice, to help and support us so generously I offer a huge heartfelt thank you!
Each of us is unique and we each have our own skills and responsibilities but together we create a strong and faithful community. Witnessing that firsthand this week has been my honor, so again, thank you!
Sincerely In Christ,
Mrs. Cathy Schwarz
