Dear SCS School Families,
I pray you all had a holy and joyous Easter and break. It was wonderful to see the students back this past week.
We have had a busy and exciting month, Camp Flintlock was a huge success, the students, parents, and teachers enjoyed the time with our colonial day performers welcoming all at carpool to the finale of the firing of the cannon. I would like to thank the PTO and the Knights of Columbus for assisting with the cost of this “in school field trip"! I am so grateful to our parents and grandparents who volunteered to help make this day run smoothly for our students. Your joy and time spent with the students is invaluable!
Next Thursday, May 5th, we will have our “PTO last meeting celebration" which will include some exciting announcements. Nachos to celebrate Cinco de Mayo and pizza for the children, raffles, and childcare will be offered so please make every effort to join us at 6:30 pm in the gym for some fun. The class that receives the highest attendance will also receive an ice cream party!
As we celebrate our Patron Saint, Saint Catherine of Siena today with a blow-up obstacle course and Kona ice, I want to thank the over 46 volunteers and the Knights of Columbus for their generous donation which helped make this a huge success!!! The school-wide assembly featuring our own school’s talented students was truly inspiring. All students who entered the St. Catherine of Siena prayer, poem, or picture contest are to be congratulated. Father Bill John, Mrs. Paolantonio, our parish DRE, and I had a difficult time choosing winners because of the outstanding talent of our students! As winners, the students will join Father Bill John and me for a Chick-fil-A lunch next week.
Again, thank you for coming back to our school to volunteer and I look forward to seeing many of you at our Parish Feast Day this Sunday.
Sincerely In Christ,
Mrs. Cathy Schwarz
Principal
