Dear SCS School Families,
Our school was blessed to be together in our beautiful Church on Friday to celebrate the Feast of the Annunciation and to witness 2 of our parishioners take vows of chasity, obedience, and service to the needy as third-order religious for the Lay Missionaries of Charity. It was beautiful to witness the “yes” of these faith-filled women imitating Mary’s “Fiat”!
As we journey through this Lenten season, we strive to empty ourselves of our own will but instead unite with Christ and His will and love for all. Let us remember to “Love our neighbor as we should love ourselves”, trying to always speak what is good and true and follow the advice of St. Mary Magdalene de Pazzi:
“Say nothing of an absent brother that you would not say in his presence.”
When we hear others speak unkindly, let us be careful not to encourage them by manifesting this talk and instead pray for peace and harmony. Especially during this Lenten season, we should recall God's mercy and strive to emulate Him. I pray for an abundance of peace, mercy, and harmony for all our students and families!
Sincerely In Christ,
Mrs. Cathy Schwarz
