Dear SCS School Families,
It was a blessing to celebrate Catholic Schools Week with you all last week! Our students, staff, and parish community came together to share in the joy and promotion of Catholic education and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School. Thank you!
This week St Catherine of Siena Catholic Parish and School had the privilege of hosting the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue. This beautiful image of Our Lady was in the church from 8:30 AM through 5 PM on Thursday, February 10. The Legion of Mary, who organized the visit, planned the recitation of the rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, and brown scapular enrollment, and of course, there was plenty of time for private prayer throughout the day. Several classes spent time in the church with her.
It is so beautiful to see our students and staff participating in prayer and growing in grace. It is in moments like these that we each learn to trust in God and His promises. In the world today it is easy to get distracted and caught up in what the media and society say, it can be a struggle to quiet our hearts and listen to God in prayer. However, it is in the quiet of our hearts connected to God in prayer that we learn to trust and truly let go of our fears and doubts.
God is good!
Sincerely In Christ,
Mrs. Cathy Schwarz
